ScanSnap iX1500 Firmware

Firmware is a set of software that controls a computer system (or hardware) stored in an electronic equipment.
This firmware, which is stored in each scanner device, controls the scanner's performance.

Attention
Before updating the firmware, update ScanSnap Home to the latest version.

Main Revision of AA00

  • Added Dutch language on the LCD touch panel language selector.

Main Revision of 0Z00

  • A profile using ScanSnap Mail can now be added to the profile list. The user can send the scanned data to the e-mail address of the pre-registered recipient directly from the ScanSnap.
  • An improvement has been made so that the valid ScanSnap Cloud profiles are not cleared when the Display of profiles setting is changed.
  • As the feature has been changed to leave the valid ScanSnap Cloud profiles displayed on the touch screen when the Display of profiles setting is changed, the [Initialize profiles] menu has been added as a new means to reset (clear) all profiles on the touch screen.
  • Improvement has been made so that when a profile using ScanSnap Cloud is deleted while ScanSnap Home and the ScanSnap are disconnected, or when the scanner is deleted on ScanSnap Cloud application, the deleted profile will be cleared from the touch panel at the timing when the ScanSnap connects to the ScanSnap Cloud server.
  • The explanation of [Continuous scan] and [Manual scan] on the [Feed mode setting] screen has been changed to correspond with the explanation displayed on ScanSnap Home.
  • The URLs indicated on the Warranty screens have been changed to the style with http://, like on other screens with URL. It now shows QR code also.
  • The icon for the Help button has been modified.

  • Improved so that, when a change is made to the method of displaying profiles, a message appears to notify the user that the profiles displayed on the ScanSnap will be reset.

  • Switching profile or a change made to scan settings on the Scan window of ScanSnap Home now reflects in the touch panel.

  • A modification has been made so that the feed mode setting can be temporarily switched to [Manual scan] by holding down the Scan button (for three seconds) in order to perform a scan manually when the feed mode setting is set to [Normal scan] or [Continuous scan].
    When the feed mode setting is temporarily switched to [Manual scan], the Scan button that is lit in blue turns orange.
  • A modification has been made so that [Automatic], [2.4GHz], or [5GHz] can be specified for the frequency band that is used to configure the settings for an access point connection. (Except for the EU model (PA03770-B001))
  • A modification has been made so that the settings for an access point connection can be configured after [Access point connection] is selected for [Wi-Fi connect mode].
  • A modification has been made so that the scan settings will not be saved to a profile after they are changed on the touch panel.
  • Fixed the problem in which the ScanSnap cannot perform a scan when the ScanSnap is connected to a particular computer via a USB cable.
  • Fixed the problem in which ScanSnap Cloud cannot be accessed in a network environment where particular routers or access points are used.

  • The following functions have been added to the sample applications in the SDK:
    • A function that allows users to switch the display on the touch panel to the classic display by using an SDK application, which saves them from having to select a profile when performing a scan with the touch panel. With this function, users can perform a scan simply by pressing the Scan button on the touch panel.
    • A function that allows users to specify an option to disable the operation to perform a scan with the touch panel so that a scan can be performed only with an SDK application. When the option is specified, the Scan button is not displayed on the touch panel and a message is displayed instead, stating that a scan can be performed only with an application.
  • Items for setting an IP address and a subnet mask have been added to the settings window which is used for a direct connection so that users can change an IP address.
  • A certification for the radio law in Malaysia is added to the [Authentication] screen on the touch panel.
