| ScanSnap Carrier Sheets (3) |
Sometimes images created by my ScanSnap do not contain all of the details included in the original document. Why does this happen? |
- Sometimes ScanSnap does not correctly recognize the size of light colored documents.
- ScanSnap may omit portions of a document containing small dots, resulting in the size of the image not being properly recognized.
| Example: A drawing containing multiple dots |
ScanSnap has not correctly recognized image size. |

When this occurs, use Adobe® Acrobat® 7.0 or a similar application to crop the image to your preferred size. When using Adobe® Acrobat® 7.0, select "Advanced Editing" in the "Tools" menu, and proceed to click "Crop tool". Then, delineate the area that you do not want to crop and double click your mouse. Note: Setting your ScanSnap for "Carrier Sheet Size" ensures that the image includes the entire Carrier Sheet.
- "Right-click" the "ScanSnap Manager" icon
that appears in the task bar and then select "Carrier Sheet".
- Open up the "Carrier Sheet Settings" window, click "Output image size" and then select "Carrier Sheet Size (216mm x 297mm)".
