Can I search text data in PDF image created by "ScanSnap"? |
PDF data created by ScanSnap is image data, which cannot be searched as is. However, it is possible to search text in these PDF files by using Adobe® Acrobat® 7.0 Standard's "Recognize Text Using OCR" function, which performs OCR (optical character recognition) on them.
- To use "Recognize Text Using OCR" function, open the PDF file you wish to convert with Adobe® Acrobat® 7.0 Standard
- Select "Start..." found in "Recognize Text Using OCR" in "Document" on the menu bar.

- Select the necessary settings in "Recognize Text" window, then click the "OK" button.

The text information is added to the image data by the "Recognize Text Using OCR" function.
