When an error message appears during scanning
When an error message appears during scanning, perform the following:
- Check if the last scanned page is the same as the original.
HINT
- [(None)] is displayed when the last scanned page is not found.
- Perform either of the following:
- Continue scanning
- Stop scanning
To continue scanning
You can continue scanning only when the error message appears in the following cases:
- No document was detected in the ADF paper chute (cover).
- Paper jam occurred.
- The ADF top section was opened.
- A Carrier Sheet was loaded.
- You tapped on [Tap here to cancel] during scanning.
To continue scanning, perform the following:
- Load the remaining pages in iX500.
ATTENTION
- Remove any pages inside iX500.
- Tap [Continue] to resume the scan.
Scanning resumes.
The scanned image is saved when the scanning is completed.
To stop scanning
- Tap [Stop].
A confirmation message appears asking whether or not to delete the scanned image.
Tap [Yes] to delete the scanned image.
Tap [No] to save the scanned image.
HINT
- When you tap [No] to save the scanned image as a PDF file, the remaining pages will be saved as another PDF file.
To manage these two files as a single PDF file, tap [Yes] and try scanning again from the beginning.
