Setting preferences for ScanSnap Connect Application

You can set preferences for ScanSnap Connect Application.

1. Tap the [Settings] app.
2. Tap [ScanSnap] from the app.
   A screen for setting the ScanSnap Connect Application preferences appears.
3. Configure the preferences as needed.

Configuring connection

You can configure settings related to connection with the computer or iX500.
The following items can be configured:

• Waiting time
  Set the time to wait for a response from the computer.
  If a timeout error occurs for communication with the computer, specify a longer time.
  By default, it is set to [10 sec.].
• Automatic connect
  Specify whether or not to automatically connect to the computer or iX500 within the same network.
  By default, it is set to on.
• Automatic update
  Specify whether or not to automatically refresh the information on the [Connect to:] window.
  By default, it is set to off.
• Port
  Configure the port number specified in the [Scan to Mobile - Basic] window of Scan to Mobile installed in the computer.
  By default, it is set to [52217].

Configuring reception

Specify the port used for receiving files in ScanSnap Connect Application.
This setting needs to be changed only if the specified port number is already being used.
By default, it is set to [55264].

ATTENTION

• You cannot specify [52217] or the number used for [Port] under [Connection].

File transfer setting

Specify whether or not to have the files automatically deleted from ScanSnap Connect Application once they are sent to another application.
By default, it is set to off.

Initialization

You can configure settings related to the initialization of ScanSnap Connect Application.
To make the initialization effective, restart ScanSnap Connect Application after configuring the settings.
By default, it is set to [None].
The following items can be configured:

• None
  No initialization is performed.
• Configuration only
  Initializes the preferences and profiles of ScanSnap Connect Application.
• Received data only
  Deletes all received files only.
• All information
  Initializes the following information:
  • ScanSnap Connect Application preferences
  • Profiles
  • Received files
  • Computers that have been connected (e.g. computer name)

HINT

• Once the initialization is complete, the setting will return to [None].
